After writing my previous posts on various pet turtle species, I realized many people are most worried about one thing: common turtle diseases and what to do about them. In this post, I’ve put together a practical guide to the health problems pet turtles most often face, how to recognize them early, and what you can do to cure and prevent them. I cannot emphasize enough how much a varied diet and good water hygiene matter for turtle health. A balanced, species‑appropriate diet, proper UVB/sunlight, clean water and regular observation can prevent most illnesses in your beloved chelonian pets.
